Thanks for looking!
Can you guess what I used to make this?!
A few weeks ago I received an e-mail from Family Fun. They had a recipe for mini candy apples. Hmmm, I thought I have an apple tree and anything mini has to be cute, so I clicked on it and decided that I HAD to make them. But for who? Well how about my son's PreK class, OK but why would I need to make them. Imagine my happiness that when I looked at his calender and saw Apple Day. Yee Haw I get to make the Mini Candy Apples!!!
Mini Candy Apples: Take a melon baller and scoop out a chunk of apple with the skin. Melt your choice of peanut butter chips or butterscotch chips. Take some lollipop sticks (you can get them from Micheals) and stick them in your little apples then, dunk them into the melted chips and into your favorite coating, I used the little sprinkles.
I'll find out later how they went over at school!
The school year started of with a bang, mostly because I didn't want the kids to go back yet :o) But time stops for no one! Actually it is nice to get back into routine. Here are some of the Teacher gifts that I have managed to make and deliver.
The poem on the can reads:
A year in school with new faces is always very busy,
Teaching all these little ones can sometimes leave you dizzy.
Kids will say the cutest, serious and most funny things,
Snag a moment to write them down, just after the bell rings.
Take a look through at the end of the year,
Be careful though, these notes may bring on a tear.
Hopefully this will teach me to take pictures of the things that I make! LOL I just went to search my other projects and realized that I didn't take any pictures!
